BRITISH INTER-COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2007-8

The new season kicks off tomorrow with a full round of matches in the Premier Division and Divisions one, two, three and four. Scotland North and Scotland South do not start until next month. We shall be using new software this year and expect to be updating the results section as and when we receive the results on Sunday evening.


WORLD DARTS TROPHY

The preliminary rounds of the 2007 Bulitt World Darts Trophy will be played this evening at the Vechtsebanen in Utrecht, Netherlands. The matches will consist of  3 rounds to be played on 8 boards and will start at 19.00 CET. The 32 players will be reduced to 8 qualifiers who will enter the main event which starts on Saturday at 14.00 CET. The draw for tonight's matches can be seen below.

TRINA GULLIVER TO LAUNCH HER AUTOBIOGRAPHY

England's "Golden Girl" of Darts will be launching her autobiography in connection with the Lakeside World Pro Championships in January. The book is written in association with Darts Historian Patrick Chaplin.

STEVE WEST WINS IN DENMARK. TRINA BEATEN BY FRANCES IN WOMEN'S FINAL

Saturday's Danish Open Singles title went to Steve West who beat Yorkshire's James Wilson in the Final. Dutchman Niels de Ruiter shared third place with Kim Fridthjof from Denmark. Gary Anderson, Gary Robson, and Paul Gibbs shared 5th spot with Denmark's Preben Krabben.

Trina Gulliver narrowly failed to make it four in a row in the Women's event. Arch rival Francis Hoenselaar secured her 4th Danish Open Singles title having won previously in 1998, 1999, and 2001. England's Tricia Wright reached the quarter-finals while Julie Gore made the last 16.

FINLAND ANNOUNCE NEW EUROPEAN SENIORS CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 2008

The First European Championships for Senior Players will be held in Helsinki from 31st July till 2nd August. The venue will be Scandic Hotel Continental, which is in the city centre of Helsinki.

There will be three categories, two for Men and one for Women. Men's categories will be over 45 years (born 1963 or earlier) and over 55 years (born 1953 or earlier. Women's category will be over 45 years. All three categories will cover both singles and pairs, so it will be six events altogether during the three competition days. Total Prize Money will be over 15000 euros.

IDPA EXPRESSES APPRECIATION OF WINMAU WORLD MASTERS IMPROVEMENTS
