21 - 11 in a fund-raising friendly match which was arranged at The Lakeside

DUTCH OPEN YOUTH 2008
The Open Dutch Youth
usually stands for top quality darts and this year was no exception. A
total of 302 young dart players produced a great show with some
excellent darts.
England's Zoe Jones claimed second place in the 2008
Dutch Open Youth event which was played at the weekend. Zoe played some
quality darts and defeated Laura Schudde, Lynn Poolen and Nikita van de
Meulen before losing to home favourite Kristie Struker.
The Boys event was won by Jeffrey Stigter who hit a 29 plus
average in the final.
In the Youth up to 13 category 64 contestants toed
the oche with Santino Broers winning the title.
The winners in the Boys and Girls under 18 events
both won an all expenses paid trip to the Winmau World Masters later
this year.

Bristol's Stuart Foale hit an on
stage 9 dater in the semi-final of the Men's Singles. Unfortunately it
was not enough to win the match and he shared 3rd place with Gibraltar's
Dylan Duo. The final was an all Spanish affair with Federico Pozo edging
out Jose Escudero by 4 legs to three.
The Women's title went to Oxfordshire's Louise Carroll with a 4 - 1 win
over Lorraine Morris. Third place was shared by Scotland's Margaret
Ferguson and Torremolinos Open winner Linda Jones |

history of the Torremolinos Open, Gibraltar players won both the Menīs Pairs and
Menīs Singles.

DATE CHANGES: BRITISH CLASSIC-BRITISH
TEENAGE-INTER COUNTY KO CUP
The BDO have announced that the dates for the British Classic,
the BDO Inter country KO Cup and the British Teenage have been changed. The
British Classic will now be played on Saturday 26th July. The BDO Inter County
KO Cup and the British Teenage Finals will now be played on Sunday 27th July.
The BDO wishes to apologise to all players for any inconvenience this may cause.

FINNISH OPEN 2008: WINS FOR STEVE WEST AND SARI
NIKULA
Steve West won the Finnish Open Singles title this evening with
a narrow 5-4 win over Robert Wagner. Jarkko Komula from Finland and Swedish
Junior Oskar Lukasiak shared third place.
The Women's title went to Sari Nikula who beat Tarja Salminen 4-2 in an all
Finland final. The Youth Singles was won by Pascal van Mourik from the
Netherlands.
