A preview of all Day 4 matches of the 2019 Lakeside World Professional Darts Championship.

Afternoon Session

13:00 – Dave Parletti Vs Krzysztof Kciuk

Number 11 seed Dave Parletti begins his Lakeside campaign against the winner of Sunday afternoon’s preliminary tie. Parletti was a Welsh Masters and Winmau Wolverhampton Open winner on his debut year on the BDO circuit. Both Lokken and Kciuk will also be making their bows on the Frimley Green stage, but will go into the contest as the underdog. A win could set up a tasty looking tie against Scott Mitchell in the second round.

14:15 – Scott Mitchell Vs Oliver Ferenc

2015 World Professional Darts Championship winner Scott Mitchell, graces the stage on Tuesday afternoon against the winner of the final preliminary clash. The BDO Gold Cup winner has enjoyed another successful year on the circuit and will be hoping to begin 2010 in the same vein. Rising star Ryan Hogarth will be considered the biggest threat to Mitchell’s World Championship run but having come through the regional qualifiers, Ferenc will also be a threat.

15:30 – Aileen de Graaf Vs Paula Jacklin

Two-time BDO Women’s World Professional Darts Championship semi-finalist Aileen de Graaf faces Lincolnshire ladies captain Paula Jacklin in the opening round of this year’s tournament. De Graaf is also a two-time Finder Masters champion, so will go into the match as favourite. The two met in the 2017 Turkish Open final, where Jacklin would take the Dutch number one to a last leg decider. Could Jacklin go one step further and defeat the world number four this time around?

16:00 – Ross Montgomery Vs Scott Baker

BDO stalwart Ross Montgomery will take on Wolverhampton’s Scott Baker in his opening round tie of the 2019 BDO World Professional Darts Championships. Despite holding more experience than his adversary, Baker was the victor last time the two met on the BDO stage. ‘The Mod’ was a 4-1 winner at the 2018 International Open in July, and the Scot will be out to avenge his loss on Tuesday afternoon.

Evening Session

19:00 – Glen Durrant Vs Mark McGrath

Defending champion Glen Durrant will be looking to become the first three-time consecutive Men’s Lakeside World Professional Darts Champion since Eric Bristow did it between 1984-1986. He will face the winner of a preliminary match between Winmau World Masters Adam Smith-Neale and New Zealand’s Mark McGrath. Smith-Neale defeated Durrant in the final of the aforementioned World Masters final in Bridlington and will out to preserve his record against the BDO world number two.

20:15 – Lorraine Winstanley Vs Casey Gallagher

Lorraine Winstanley will enter the 2019 BDO World Professional Darts Championship in sensational form after winning two BDO ranking events in the two months leading up to the premier event. A Czech Open victory over Lisa Ashton in the final signifies a good run of form at the perfect time. Despite this, Gallagher has been gaining steam of late. She whitewashed Winstanley at the 2018 Women’s World Masters and will go into her big stage rematch brimming with confidence.

20:45 – Chris Landman Vs Kyle McKinstry

The Netherlands’ Chris Landman takes on Kyle McKinstry in one of the standout ties of the opening round. Both Landman and McKinstry have performed admirably on the BDO circuit throughout 2018 and will be hoping to begin 2019 with a deep run at the BDO World Professional Darts Championships. Landman defeated ‘The Village Man’ at the quarter-final’s of the Isle of Man Open in a last leg decider and will draw confidence from his win over the Northern Irishman.

22:00 – Gary Robson Vs David Cameron

BDO veteran Gary Robson will be looking to add to his Scottish Open and Welsh Masters final appearances with a deep run at the BDO World Professional Darts Championship, starting with a win on Tuesday evening. He will face either Canada’s David Cameron or Lakeside debutant Andy Hamilton in the opening round. ‘Big Robbo’ was a quarter-finalist in 2007, 2009 and 2011, but has never made the final four. Could this be Robbo’s year?
