A look at the Men's quarter finals and the Ladies semi finals from day 7 of the BDO Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships.

Afternoon Session

13:00 - Michael Unterbuchner Vs Willem Mandigers

Germany’s Michael Unterbuchner faces Willem Mandigers in the second men’s quarter-final of the afternoon session. The Dutchman is now in uncharted territory after reaching this stage for the first time with a win over Wesley Harms. ‘T-Rex’ was a semi-finalist twelve months ago, and with the experience edge on his side, will fancy his chances of a win over the number 13 seed.

14:45 - Mikuru Suzuki Vs Maria O’Brien

After averages 86 in her quarter-final victory over Fallon Sherrock, Maria O’Brien will be looking to reach a first Lakeside World Championship final as she faces Mikuru Suzuki. The Japanese sensational struggled in her quarter final win over Sharon Prins but will be hoping to improve as we enter the business end of the competition.

15:15 - Conan Whitehead Vs Scott Waites

The ‘Barbarian’ Conan Whitehead will take on two-time champion Scott Waites in the opening match of the day. The Kent based thrower said he ‘Isn’t scared’ of the former Grand Slam of Darts winner after he defeated number one seed Mark McGeeney in the previous round. Waites on the other hand believes Whitehead will have ‘up his game’ if he is to claim another big scalp on the Frimley Green stage. This promises to be a feisty contest.

Evening Session

Anastasia Dobromyslova Vs Lorraine Winstanley

In the second women’s semi-final Anastasia Dobromyslova takes doubles partner Lorraine Winstanley. Both came through their respective quarter-final ties with 80 plus averages. They both know that more improvement will be necessary of they are to reach Saturday’s evening as the format increases to best of five sets. Anastasia defeated her tour mate at the quarter-final stage in the 2018 World Championships, and Winstanley has struggled in the pairs most recent meetings. Although her upturn in form could’ve come at the perfect point for the Derbyshire based star.

Kyle McKinstry Vs Glen Durrant

Reigning champion Glen Durrant could move another step closer to matching Eric Bristow’s World Championship record if he defeats Northern Ireland’s Kyle McKinstry in the quarter-finals. ‘The Village Man’ came through an exhausting match with David Cameron in the quarter-finals but believes there is nothing to lose against the BDO’s top star. McKinstry does hold a win over the Middlesbrough star, in the 2017 Bruges Open, so he goes into the contest brimming with confidence.

 Scott Mitchell Vs Jim Williams

In what is a mouth-watering prospect, number three seed Jim Williams faces 2015 World Champion Scott Mitchell to close out the evening’s entertainment. The Welshman recorded an emphatic victory over Dean Reynolds in the previous round, while ‘Scotty Dog’ repeated the feat against Krzysztof Kciuk. Williams ran away winner at the recent BDO International Open, but Mitchell defeated the 32-year-old at the Denmark Open in 2017. This one is too close to call.
