TORI KEWISH appears set on dominating the women’s Australian darts scene as she wins her third tournament of the season by retaining the Dyenamics Uniforms West Coast Classic, maintaining her position within the top 20 of the BDO rolling table.

Kewish had comprehensive wins over Jucinta Dann and Dot McLeod, before winning the final in straight legs 5-0 over Barb Smyth. Smyth’s route to the final saw her battle through tough matches with Marianne Bell and Lorraine Burn, edging them both out in the deciding legs 3-2.

David Platt took his first BDO ranked title of the season, going two places better than his semi-final spot in 2018, beating Mal Cuming 6-5 in the final.

Platt’s final spot came at the expense of Adam Rowe, in another match that went the distance, whilst Cuming was 5-2 victor over Tim Pusey in the second semi-final. Pusey had earlier knocked out 2018 West Coast Runner-Up Justin Thompson 4-3 in the quarter finals.

Despite missing out on the title, the result should see Mal Cuming move into the top 50 of the BDO World rankings.
