THE 33RD ANNUAL Virginia Beach Darts Classic saw the inclusion of BDO CAT C ranked Men’s and Ladies Singles.

The ladies event went to the USA’s Lisa Ayers who beat fellow American Stacey Pace in the final 5-1, marking Ayers best performance of the 2018/2019 season. Pace is currently the highest ranked American in the BDO world rankings and the result sees her retains her place in the top 30. Pace had earlier beaten Robin Curry 4-3 in the semi-finals whilst Ayers claimed her final spot over world number 37 Paula Murphy.

In the Men’s event, Darin Young beat 2018 champion Larry Butler in the final to take his first BDO title of the season. Canadian’s Adam Stella and Shawn Brenneman were beaten by the American duo in the semi-final stages. The win will see Young climb the rankings and sit just outside the top 100 on the rolling table and move into fourth place on the USA regional table just behind Leonard Gates and Tom Sawyer.
