Four BDO ranked competitions took place this weekend at the Scandic Trianglen in Malmo, Sweden, which saw four different champions as Lisa Ashton, Dennis Nilsson, Mikuru Suzuki and Gary Stone all took top prizes!

Ashton was the first winner of the weekend, taking the LDO Swedish Classic, beating Dutch star Aileen de Graaf 5-1 in the final. Despite only 00.08 difference in their averages, it was the Lancashire Rose who dominated throughout to take her first title since the Scottish Open in February! 

Ashton beat Durham-based Kirsty Hutchinson 5-2 in the semi-finals, whilst de Graaf won by the same 5-2 scoreline over reigning World Trophy Champion Fallon Sherrock.

Saturday saw the headline CAT A Swedish Open take place for both the Men and Women, where Sweden's Nillson and Japan's Suzuki emerged victorious.

Nilsson was on top form all day, despatching both Ryan Hogarth and Ben Hazel, before taking a narrow 5-4 win over Dave Prins in the semi-final. He faced last weeks Antwerp Open Champion Wayne Warren in the final, after Warren beat number two seed Richard Veenstra 5-3 in the semi-final.

Nilsson dominated the final, beating Warren 6-1 with a 93.03 average in the process!

In the Swedish Open, Ashton once again featured in the final following her win in the semi-final over England's Casey Gallagher, winning 5-3, whilst Suzuki faced Lincolnshire Ladies Captain Paula Jacklin, where Suzuki moved into the final with a 5-1 win over Jacklin.

In the final it was the reigning World Champion who edged out the 4-times World Champion 5-3 to take the Swedish Open title.

The final ranked competition of the weekend went to Scotland's Gary Stone, who won the CAT D Gents Swedish Classic, with a confident 5-2 win over Middlesex-based John Scott in the final.

Scott registered wins over Ross Montgomery and Nauris Gleglu before beating Johan Engstrom 4-0 in the semi-final, whilst Stone, who is really finding good form of late, beat number one seed Dave Parletti and Andy Hamilton, both winning through 4-1.
